ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Financial AccountantKey Tasks & Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are properly approved, matched to purchase orders and accurately processed in accordance with company procedures.
• Resolve any discrepancies or queries with suppliers promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams in response to discrepancies and queries.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payment runs.
• Ensure all subcontractor payments are processed in line with RCT rules.
• Maintain and monitor designated Accounts Payable e-mail inboxes.
• Reconcile monthly supplier statements, address any discrepancies and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Process changes to supplier account set-ups in line with company procedures.
• Process employee expenses and credit card transactions each month.
• Provide back up for other members of the Accounts Payable team as required.
• Adhoc admin duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience working in a high-volume Accounts Payable function.
• Experience in the construction industry an advantage.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to time manage effectively to meet strict deadlines.
• Have a flexible and positive attitude towards work.
• Accounting Technician part or fully qualified would be a benefit
