Project Manager – Biopharma (Cross-Functional Leadership)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with drug product or drug substance experience to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced biopharma environment. This role is critical in driving project delivery across multiple sites, ensuring alignment between technical execution, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams through the successful delivery and business integration of key projects
- Translate customer and business requirements into clearly defined, approved project scope statements
- Collaborate with functional managers to define and quantify resource requirements
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, and cost commitments
- Facilitate regular project meetings, driving accountability, alignment, and timely decision-making
- Establish and manage effective communication plans to ensure clear information flow across stakeholders and sites
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise business impact
- Lead cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure adherence to approved financial plans
- Manage stakeholder expectations, developing engagement strategies that support effective decision-making and project success
- Support GMP documentation activities in line with site procedures, including change control processes (training provided on Waterford GMP systems)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in the biopharma industry in a project or program leadership role
- Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong track record in project/program management within drug substance or drug product environments
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMI, PMP, or equivalent) desirable
- Solid working knowledge of cGMP and GLP regulatory frameworks
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
