Junior AP Specialist - Cork Office (Initial 9 Month Fixed Term Contract)Who We Are…

The Role…The Junior AP Specialist position will be a key member of the Finance Team in the European Shared Services at our European HQ in Cork and is responsible for supporting the Payments and Payroll teams.

Some of the key duties in this role would include:

  • Setting up supplier accounts
  • Verbally verifying bank details for all new payees
  • Entering approved invoices
  • Processing of approved payments per correct payment dates
  • Communicating invoices issues to consultants and internal Oxford Staff
  • Working with the billing team on adjustments to enable payment of invoices
  • Assisting the accountant with the bank reconciliation
  • Covering payrolls in the absence of the Payroll Specialist
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end files for internal and external audits

Key Skills & Abilities…

Accounts experience, including:

  • Accounts Payable Ledger
  • Experience of a multi-currency environment
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Must be organized and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Needs to work accurately and have a good eye for detail
  • Good organisational skills – ability to organise, plan and prioritise own workload within changing timescales and parameters

Nice to have…

Knowledge of Payroll Processes
