Are you an experienced sales professional with a knack for business development in building materials? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of adhesives, and PU foams, working closely with key builder’s merchants and retail accounts across Dublin.

The Role

As Area Sales Representative, you will spend most of your time in the field, driving sales growth by developing tailored sales concepts and strategies.

Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will:

• Plan and manage quarterly sales schedules and promotional activities with key accounts
• Identify market opportunities by reviewing product specifications and analysing competitor offerings
• Develop and execute time-integrated plans for introducing new products in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
• Coordinate technical training for employees and third-party salespeople to ensure market readiness of new products
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring smooth commercial collaboration
• Prospect, initiate, and follow up on new sales projects in a consistent and structured manner
• Contribute to overall team objectives by delivering agreed sales targets

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within building materials or related industries
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market dynamics and provide effective solutions under pressure
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Resilient and proactive work ethic with a hands-on approach and strong sense of accountability
• Skilled in relationship development, building trust and long-lasting partnerships
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint to support sales planning and reporting
