Technical Solution Architect – Microsoft Technologies

The Opportunity We are seeking a client-facing Technical Solution Architect to join our Cloud First group, specialising in Microsoft technologies. This is a hands-on role for a strategic thinker who can design scalable, secure, and compliant solutions while collaborating across disciplines and guiding development teams to deliver on those designs. You’ll be part of our team that works closely with clients and internal teams to shape technical solutions that deliver measurable impact. Responsibilities Would Include..Solution Design & Architecture* Translate business requirements into pragmatic, scalable solutions.

• Conduct options analysis and present recommendations for best-fit solutions with supporting rationale.
• Create solution blueprints and high-level effort estimates across design, build, test, and rollout. Technical Leadership* Set architectural direction for development teams and ensure alignment with enterprise principles and patterns.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to developers and junior architects.
• Lead architectural reviews and contribute to product roadmaps for existing and green-field solutions. Stakeholder Engagement* Collaborate with business users, product owners, and technologists to define non-functional requirements.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills to communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including Legal, Security, and Data Protection. Required Experience & Skills:* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Solution or Technical Architect, with 10+ years in IT-related roles.
• Proven track record of designing, delivering and running enterprise-grade solutions using: Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), NET stack, Power Platform
• Strong understanding of integration architecture concepts (including API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures, security protocols).
• Communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with other experts and guide multidisciplinary teams, while managing competing priorities.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate architectural options and make informed decisions. Desirable* Experience with hybrid-cloud and on-premises integration architectures.
• Hands-on development background (C#, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Blazor, React / React Native / Angular) with ability to assess and guide technical implementation.
• Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSL, EntraID).
• Experience with Azure Data & AI technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Power BI, OpenAI integration and scalable data architectures.
