We are a forward-thinking, purpose-led business with a strong commitment to customer success, continuous improvement, and sustainability.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Inspection Services, the Environmental Contracts Manager will oversee all aspects of bid submissions, tender documentation, and contract negotiation within the environmental services sector. This role is well suited to someone with experience managing complex documentation and deadlines, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting environmentally focused projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids and tenders in line with strategic growth objectives
  • Lead the end-to-end tendering process — from opportunity identification through to contract award
  • Ensure all contract documentation complies with legal, commercial, and operational requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather accurate technical and financial inputs
  • Support contract negotiations, amendments, and renewals with clients and partners
  • Maintain a robust tracking system for tender opportunities, deadlines, and contract lifecycles
  • Assist the Principal Environmental Consultant in client communication and project planning

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in contract management, bid writing, or tender coordination, ideally within the environmental or consultancy sectors
  • Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing professional proposals and tender responses
  • Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • A degree in a relevant environmental or engineering discipline (NFQ level 8) is desirable

Personal Attributes

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, process-driven approach
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Commercially aware with a passion for sustainability and high-quality delivery

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Hybrid working (primarily remote, subject to business needs)
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme, including death in service and income protection (post-probation)
  • Sick pay, employee assistance programme, and referral scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme and onsite parking
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation and personal growth
