Audit Manager

My client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Job:
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of commercial sectors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Lead audit engagements, working closely with Partners, Directors and wider teams.
- Ensure compliance with audit methodology, accounting standards and quality requirements.
- Manage team resources, workloads and deadlines to deliver engagements efficiently.
- Oversee client billing, fee management and cash collection across the portfolio.
- Mentor, train and support junior team members, providing guidance throughout engagements.
- Provide support on advisory and technical accounting projects, including acquisitions, business planning and accounting framework changes.
- Build strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues across tax, financial advisory and other specialist teams.
Have you:
- A professional accountancy qualification with approximately 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within a medium or large practice.
- Strong audit and technical accounting experience with sound commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence and build credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience mentoring, developing and supporting junior and newly qualified team members.
- A strategic, analytical and commercially focused approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
