A leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer is undergoing a major capacity expansion programme, scaling output significantly over the next 3–5 years. To support this, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead critical capital projects across a live GMP manufacturing site.

The Role

You will take ownership of capital project delivery, including:

• Leading projects from design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Managing engineering design partners and contractors to ensure scope, quality and key milestones are achieved.
• Reviewing and approving design documentation to ensure regulatory and GMP compliance.
• Overseeing construction activities in a live operational environment, maintaining safety and minimising disruption.
• Acting as the go-to engineering contact for planning applications, design standards and construction governance.
• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practice in project delivery and construction management.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years’ capital project experience within pharmaceutical or medical device facilities.
• Strong technical understanding of design, CSA/M&E construction, commissioning and project handover.
• Confident managing multiple suppliers, engineering consultancies and stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to control project scope, schedule and compliance in a regulated environment.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills with a proactive, delivery-focused approach.
