Bluemotion Engineering Limited, founded in 2020, designs and manufactures industrial CNC cutting machines for steel fabrication environments. All machines are built, assembled, and tested in-house at our facility in Cork, Ireland.
Our operations integrate engineering, machining, assembly, and support, giving us full control over quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
We are now expanding our CNC capabilities and building a high-performance manufacturing team to support our next stage of growth.
Pay: €45,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer / Team Lead to take ownership of our CNC operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining mechanical design, CAM programming (Autodesk Inventor CAM), CNC machining, and team supervision. You will play a key role in improving processes, increasing efficiency, and helping scale our manufacturing capability.
This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working across design, programming, and hands-on manufacturing, and is motivated to make a real impact in a growing engineering business.
Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Machining
- Program parts using Autodesk Inventor CAM
- Set up and operate CNC machines
- Optimise toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and setups
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues
Mechanical Design
- Design components, fixtures, and improvements to CNC machinery
- Ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability
- Work from concept through to finished parts
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements
- Reduce cycle times, scrap, and setup times
- Standardise tooling, setups, and workflows
Team Leadership
- Lead and support CNC machine operators
- Train staff on setups and best practices
- Plan and prioritise production workloads
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety
Requirements:Essential
- Strong experience in CNC machining
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Inventor CAM
- Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation
- Ability to read and produce technical drawings
- Experience leading or supervising a team
Desirable
- Experience designing fixtures, jigs, or custom machinery
- Strong understanding of tooling and machining strategies
- Experience improving production processes
