Assistant Bar Manager

Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for the role of Assistant Bar Manager to join the team of a prestigious 4-star property in Co. Waterford Reporting directly to the Bar Manager, you will play a key role in managing, leading, and developing the bar team while ensuring a consistently high standard of beverage service. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the smooth service of all bar operations and provide hands-on support when required
• Plan service structures for individual service periods
• Maintain and control cash & charge procedures, ensuring accurate cashing up
• Induct, train, and develop new staff members within the department
• Ensure staff are fully briefed on menu items, service standards, accompaniments, and recommendations
• Handle and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
• Monitor and encourage upselling across all food & beverage offerings
• Ensure the team maintains excellent product knowledge at all times
• Assist in setting and serving functions and function bars
• Manage and monitor stock levels effectively
• Support in the implementation of new procedures and service standards

Candidate Profile

• Enthusiastic, professional, and motivated, with prior supervisory or management experience in food & beverage within the hotel industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, train, and inspire a team
• Excellent customer care and communication skills, with a focus on discretion and professionalism
• Computer literate and fluent in English
• A proven ability to maintain high service standards in busy bar operations
