Social Care Assistant

Communicare is looking for an empathetic, patient and dependable Social Care Assistant who has a genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to providing high-quality care. The goal of our disabilities team is to maximise the independence of our clients while supporting their physical, emotional and social needs. The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Support our clients in daily tasks such as personal care, light housekeeping, food preparation.
• Provide companionship and support with social activities.
• Work to promote the health and well-being of clients.

Role requirements:

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Social Care or Healthcare
• Two written references.
• Understanding of HIQA standards and regulations.
• CPR & Patient Moving and Handling Certificates
• Full driving license and access to a car is a distinct advantage but not essential.
