Job title: Technical Training and Quality Manager

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent, subject to 6 months' probation

Location: Claregalway, Co. Galway

Salary: €50,000-55,000 per annum, paid monthly

At Culligan Home, we specialize in providing high-quality water treatment solutions to residential customers across Ireland. Our offering includes filtration systems, reverse osmosis units, and water softeners, helping households enjoy cleaner, safer, and better-tasting water.

We're looking for a Technical Training & Quality Manager to lead technical training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across our field service operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure our field technicians are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programs for new and existing field technicians
  • Lead onboarding and competency development to ensure technicians are fully equipped to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs to company standards
  • Support the rollout of new products, technologies, and service processes through structured training and coaching programs
  • Conduct field audits, ride-alongs, and quality inspections to assess workmanship, customer experience, and compliance with operational standards
  • Analyze service data, technician performance, customer feedback, and operational KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain technician scorecards, training records, quality metrics, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety, plumbing, environmental, and company quality standards across all field operations
  • Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and technical documentation
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex field service issues, supporting technicians in resolving customer challenges effectively
  • Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Inventory, and Routing teams to drive efficiency and deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to coordinate technical training, product updates, and best practice initiatives
  • Identify skills gaps and implement coaching and development plans to improve technician capability, consistency, and performance
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on service quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and first-time fix rates
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, safety, accountability, and continuous learning across the field service team

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in water treatment, HVAC, or plumbing-related field service roles
  • Proven experience in technical training and quality management
  • Strong knowledge of water softeners, filtration systems, well water and plumbing systems
  • Certification in plumbing, water treatment, or a relevant field preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Competence with field service software, CRM tools, and MS Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally
