🌍 Now Hiring: Software Test Lead – MES (Limerick, Ireland | Onsite)
Do you see yourself as the last line of defence between a software release and the manufacturing floor? EFOR Group, a trusted Life Sciences consulting partner, is looking for an experienced Software Test Lead to own quality on a major Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programme in Limerick.
What you'll do:
- Define, own and keep improving the testing strategy for MES implementations, upgrades and integrations
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, building a culture of quality and right-first-time delivery
- Design and maintain test plans, cases and scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance and UAT testing
- Work with DevOps teams to build automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and speed up release cycles
- Act as the quality gate for MES releases, making sure every change meets GxP, functional and performance requirements
- Run defect management (triage, root cause analysis and resolution tracking) in Azure DevOps or Jira
- Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities and report clear testing metrics to senior leadership
Your background:
- Proven experience as a Testing Lead or Senior QA Engineer on complex enterprise software implementations
- Strong command of testing methodologies and tools (ISTQB or equivalent preferred)
- Experience in Agile/DevOps delivery environments
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Zephyr, qTest)
- Experience in a regulated industry (pharma, life sciences, food & beverage or similar)
- Able to explain quality and risk topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Syncade (Emerson) or other off-the-shelf MES experience (eBR, workflow configuration, integrations) is a strong advantage
- GAMP 5, CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), test automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) or ERP/LIMS integration experience (SAP) is a plus
