Mobile Development Team Lead

We are looking for a Mobile Tech Lead to join our EMEA team as we continue to grow and strengthen our mobile development expertise. In this position, you will collaborate with delivery teams and oversee client relationships while leading the development of mobile applications for international clients. This is a hybrid opportunity, with the ideal candidate based near one of our offices in Newcastle, Manchester, London, Dublin, or Belfast. Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver comprehensive mobile solutions, including frontend, backend, middleware, and web services, leveraging expertise in Android, iOS, and mobile development platforms
• Lead the creation, planning, and execution of mobile solutions, including developing reference architectures, providing cost estimates, and offering technical direction and project leadership
• Analyze client requirements and work with business and technology leaders to translate digital needs into effective mobile and digital technology solutions
• Contribute to client workshops, present proposed technical solutions, and act as a key technical liaison between clients, engineering teams, and support functions
• Define and implement best practices, standardized workflows, platform guidelines, and tools to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient mobile and digital solutions
• Review and analyze existing system architectures, identify performance issues, and recommend improvements to enhance solution design and system efficiency
• Encourage innovation in mobile and digital technologies by producing thought leadership content, participating in industry events, mentoring colleagues, and building solution architecture expertise within the team

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of digital technologies with hands-on experience in mobile development, including iOS (Objective-C/Swift), Android (Java/Kotlin), React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect, with a proven history of delivering and reviewing at least five architecture designs and participating in at least five pre-sales activities in the past two years
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, with expertise in planning, execution, risk management, and resource allocation
• In-depth experience in delivering mobile solutions and strategies, with expertise in domains such as eCommerce, Content Management, Media and Entertainment, Finance, or Cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of design patterns, code refactoring, performance tuning, and identifying and resolving bottlenecks
• Experience in consulting or professional services, with a solid background in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and proven troubleshooting abilities
