Job Description Location: For this role we are looking for the successful candidate to work on a hybrid basis from our office in Galway City, two to three days per week. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join the Journey Data backend team, and help build products and services to bring the benefits of the Genesys Cloud Event Data Platform to Genesys customers. As a Software Engineer on the Journey Data Team you will work closely with a talented team of like-minded engineers and product managers to ideate, built, operate, and scale, impactful customer facing features across the full development lifecycle. In this position you will get the opportunity to work with modern technologies across the full development cycle, including a wide array of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Jenkins, New Relic, Sumo Logic, as well as proprietary Genesys software. Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering. 
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines.
• Programming experience with Java for backend development and service architecture.
• Experience using Cloud infrastructure, ideally Amazon Web Services
• Self-driven learner, able to master new technologies in an agile environment
• Ability to apply critical thinking and drive for quality in software development
• Ability to work in a distributed multi-cultural environment
• Experience of CI/CD processes and technologies.
• Proactive, self-driven, and possessing a growth mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently when provided with relevant information
• Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety, privacy, reliability), with role-appropriate skills developed through internal training and applied practice
