Overview

ICDS Group are working with a leading main contractor based in Galway to recruit a Pre-Construction Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company renowned for delivering high-quality commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across Ireland.

You’ll play a key role in the early stages of project development, overseeing cost planning, tendering, design coordination, and client engagement to ensure a smooth transition into the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all pre-construction activities from project inception through to handover to the delivery team.
• Oversee tender submissions, cost plans, budgets, and procurement strategies.
• Work closely with design teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical input on buildability, programme timelines, and risk assessments.
• Manage internal resources and external consultants to deliver pre-construction programmes efficiently.
• Support business development by contributing to bid strategies and securing new projects.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a pre-construction or similar management role.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement, and cost planning processes.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
