Strategic Buyer

Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead sourcing and category management projects across indirect spend areas
• Perform procurement market analysis, initiate and conduct continuous cost improvement opportunities and deliver cost savings
• Implement tenders, RFQs and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain related item data within the MRP system for new released items, process design modifications.
• Ensure availability of goods/services within required specifications, quality, and lead times.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Quality, Engineering, Finance) to resolve claims and improve supplier performance
• Liaise with suppliers to optimise supplier-relationship and track performance using KPIs
• Use Liebherr group-wide tools for cost analysis, supplier performance tracking, risk management and documentation
• Ensure compliance with Liebherr Global Purchasing Strategy guidelines and support audits as needed
• Other ancillary duties associated with the position.

Qualifications, Requirements And Experience

• Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally in a technical or manufacturing environment with a minimum of 3 years
• Third level education degree in a Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost, quality, and risk mitigation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., BAAN, SAP, ERP).
• Advanced skills with formulas and complex spreadsheets in MS Excel an advantage.
