Inventory Supervisor – Theatre / Cath Lab Cork

Overview We are currently seeking to recruit an Inventory Supervisor as part of our Theatre / Cath Lab team at Mater Private Cork. Reporting to the Stores Manager and working with the wider Clinical and Procurement teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimised levels of stock are maintained – from order through delivery and on-going day-to-day stock level management. The role will also include some data analytics work to gain business insights we can implement . Order Release/Restocking / Data Management

• Order entry/monitoring for all Theatre / Cath Lab requirements including;
• Procedure based usage – billing form orders (this includes theatre, Cath Lab, 4th floor, H&V)
• Monitor Genesis vs Theatre / Cath Lab schedule to ensure both match
• Process orders from Supplier portals – Tekno, eSims
• Ad-Hoc orders for specific structural cases
• Restocking high volume items
• Monitoring/Controlling PO requests for non-standard items
• Maintaining and updating Prosthesis list
• Proactive open-order reporting and follow-up
• Follow-up on partial deliveries
• Pack-away/storage
• Gathering information from Meditech and Genesis and transferring to digestible formats to gain business insights
• Creating charts , graphs and dashboards to present findings to other stakeholders

Stock Management

• Manage, monitor and report on inventory levels to anticipate stock shortfalls/outages
• Identification/elimination of non-standard items and duplication of items
• Tracking and reporting all expired stock items/costs
• Reconciling consignment stock reorders to vendor reports
• Cycle Counting / Inventory Level monitoring
• Expiry date reporting and Management / Stock rotation
• Replenishing stock to Theatre from Sub stores

Process Improvements

• Working with Theatre/Cath Lab teams to optimise physical storage locations
• Minimum number of storage location for individual items
• Storage labelling / barcoding
• Usage reporting/analysis to optimise stock holding levels
• Identifying improvements across the end-to-end process to improve accuracy, enhance controls and reduce waste

Skills/Experience

• Experience in Inventory management and control – preferably in a healthcare/Theatre environment
• Data analysis/reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail
• Analytical mind-set with good Excel and IT skills
• Self-starter with a high level of initiative
• Excellent communication skills
