This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for driving excellence across Operations and HR.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic objectives, enhancing operational performance, and fostering a strong, people-focused culture.

The Role
The Operations Manager will lead the Operations team and oversee the implementation of the
credit union’s operational strategy. The role also includes responsibility for leading the HR
function and supporting the development and delivery of the organisation’s HR strategy.
Reporting
Reports directly to the CEO.
Scope of the Role
The Operations Manager will oversee the HR function and operational activities for staff across the credit union’s network of offices.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations
• Lead member-facing teams to deliver excellent service both in branch and through the
Member Service Centre
• Deliver member service standards and business targets outlined in the Strategic Plan
• Develop, implement and continuously review operational policies and procedures
• Ensure strong operational controls, compliance, and risk management within the
Operations function
Human Resources
• Lead and manage the HR function across the organisation
• Oversee HR systems and processes
• Develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures
• Manage employee engagement, recruitment, performance management, training and
development
Senior Management & Strategy
• Act as a key member of the Senior Management Team• Contribute to the development and
implementation of strategic and operational plans,
with particular responsibility for Operations and HR
The Person
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Operations or Customer Service Manager with a
strong track record of leadership within the financial services sector.
Candidates should demonstrate:
• At least five years’ relevant management experience in financial services
• Strong knowledge of financial services operations, compliance, and AML requirements
• Excellent leadership, people management and performance management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, business acumen, and commercial
awareness
• The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including direct reports,
staff, senior management, the CEO and members
• QFA and up to date Minimum competency
Experience in change management, process improvement and DORA
A third-level business degree or equivalent professional qualification, along with relevant
financial services qualifications, is required.
Contract-Permanent, full-time position.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday work.
Location-Based at the main office in Dublin. This is primarily an on-site role, with occasional remote working where required.
Salary & Benefits-A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with experience.
