Quest are delighted to partner with a leading European life insurer headquartered in Dublin on a Risk Analyst hire. This is a strategic and high-visibility role supporting the Chief Risk Officer and senior leaders across the business in delivering a robust risk management and internal control framework.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the CRO, you’ll work across three key risk domains – operational, underwriting, and investment risk – supporting implementation of the risk framework and strengthening controls. You’ll help embed the Risk Appetite Framework, track and report on operational incidents, and provide critical insight to management and governance bodies through clear, data-informed risk reporting.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, skilled risk function that adds real value across the business, and you'll have a platform to grow both technically and professionally in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Contributing to the identification and assessment of risks across the business, aligned with Solvency II and group standards.
- Supporting implementation of the risk management framework across operational policies and procedures.
- Monitoring internal controls and providing guidance to strengthen the control environment.
- Coordinating responses to operational incidents and tracking remediation plans.
- Preparing risk reports and maintaining up-to-date dashboards for senior management and group risk teams.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in a control or risk-related role within insurance or financial services (audit, risk, or internal control).
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in finance, risk, audit, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of risk frameworks and control standards.
- Analytical, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both English and French is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint; coding skills (e.g. VBA, Python) would be a plus.
