We are seeking an experienced TEKLA Structural Steel Detailer to join our team in Wexford. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a variety of structural steel, architectural steel, and bespoke fabrication projects, from initial modelling through to manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures, ensuring designs are practical, detailed, and suitable for fabrication and erection.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings and detailed connection drawings.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve technical queries and identify potential clashes.
- Ensure drawings, dimensions, connections, and material specifications meet project requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Generate material lists, bolt lists, and fabrication data to support efficient workshop production.
- Manage assigned projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in structural steel detailing.
- Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures and steel fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of steel connections, welding, bolting, and fabrication methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
