Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Co. Kerry, Ireland (Hybrid)
An established international financial services and technology company is looking for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to help build, run and monitor its cloud platform. You'll be hands-on across Azure infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code and observability, and will help set the standard for monitoring and alerting across the business.
What you'll do
- Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform
- Build and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus monitoring and alerting
- Monitor availability, performance and capacity against service objectives
- Take part in incident response, root cause analysis and an on-call rotation
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across the platform
What you'll bring
- 3-5+ years in Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on Azure experience (Azure Administrator certification preferred)
- Solid Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code experience
- Strong Grafana and Prometheus experience, including dashboards, PromQL and alerting
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC)
- Production incident management experience
- Jira, JSM and Confluence experience
Nice to have
- GCP experience
- Exposure to cloud cost optimisation or FinOps
- Kubernetes and SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs)
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint and device management
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, preferably Commvault
