RPS, a Tetra Tech company is looking for a BID Coordinator to be based in Dublin, Cork or Galway. About The Team The Tender Unit at RPS is a central team of bid professionals who lead and support the development of compelling, high-quality proposals across all sectors of the business. Working closely the technical staff, we play a key role in improving our win rate and securing the right work. Our team provides expert input throughout the tender lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting final proposals. We coordinate bid planning sessions, structure and format responses, develop supporting materials such as graphics, CVs and case studies, and manage submission logistics. We also maintain central libraries, track performance, and promote continuous improvement through lessons learned. By embedding best practice, reducing the burden on technical staff, and ensuring a consistent, professional approach to every bid, we help position RPS to win work, profitably and professionally. Discover your full potential – join us to grow your career while leaving a lasting legacy. We are seeking a Bid Coordinator to join our dedicated tender unit. This is a key role supporting all business units in the coordination and preparation of high-quality submission documents. Responsibilities will include writing and editing content for bids, as well as supporting a range of other projects such as technical reports, consultation materials, and business development content. What You Will Be Doing

  • Coordinating the preparation and production of bids
  • Collating and inputting information into our bid database tools and systems
  • Compiling suitable content for SAQs, RFxs, proposals
  • Developing tender ready materials for bid library to support bids
  • Working with colleagues across the tender unit and office-based teams to develop and improve systems for tender production
  • Preparing and maintaining guidance for employees on our bid process and writing
  • Training employees on bid coordination
  • Writing and editing content for tenders / marketing / business development materials
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong overall IT capability
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of engineering, environmental, or wider professional services (advantageous)
  • Experience preparing successful bids or proposals
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • High attention to detail and quality

Qualifications

  • Engineering, Science, Arts, Marketing or Business Degree (Hons) qualified (Level 8) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional service environment
  • Familiarity with tendering and procurement processes (desirable)
  • Experience or qualifications in creative or persuasive writing (desirable)
