Senior Design Engineer

Location: Limerick As Senior Design Engineer with Shareridge you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to bring Uisce ireann projects from project brief stage to the detailed design stage and into construction. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the requirements associated with the design and delivery of infrastructure projects and will be expected to bring an innovative approach. • Support the Design Manager in mentoring and developing members of the design team.
• Take charge of allocated projects and assigned engineers, ensuring effective leadership, coordination, and technical delivery.
• Develop, review and approval of design documents and details, providing technical expertise and guidance where required.
• Ensure designs prioritise safety, the environment, constructability, and commercial efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project requirements are met.
• Review and contribute to design programmes, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and to the required quality.
• Undertake site visits and technical assessments to inform and validate design work.
• Identify opportunities for sustainability and innovation in design solutions.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to company growth.

Skills And Experience

• Experience working in a similar role on Uisce ireann projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholder developing design solutions.
• Ability to use own initiative, and problem solve.
• Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
