Full Time Pharmacist Required, Killarney, Co. Kerry.The candidate will facilitate double cover during daytime hours at the pharmacy and will work as part of a busy dispensary team.
Since 1953, we are located on 34 Main Street in Ireland's leading tourist town Killarney, County Kerry. Working as a part of our experienced team the Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medicines to customers/patients.
The main duties of this roles include:
- To operate the dispensary in accordance with all the legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy.
- To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as set out by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
- To interact with other health professionals & work as part of the pharmacy team (dispensary, retail & online).
- To ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers/patients.
- To support the Superintendent Pharmacist & Pharmacy Owner in following up of rejected claims.
- Any other projects and duties where they arise.
The successful candidate will:
- Excellent communication skills and capable of working on own initiative.
- Have great business acumen & be customer/patient focused.
- Be highly organised & able to work under pressure & as part of a team.
- A proven track record within a busy community pharmacy setting.
- Have an understanding of effective budget & stock management.
- Flexibility with working arrangements, the role may involve weekend work at times.
Essential Criteria
Knowledge and Experience required:
- Must hold a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification and be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
- Ability to deal with high volume dispensing
