Intermediate Information Developer

Description We are looking for intermediate information developers with XML DITA experience to join our team on permanent or contract basis. The successful candidates will become an integral part of one of our project teams and report directly into a team lead. They will be responsible for tasks that range from developing courseware for leading multinational software products to creating stand-alone user manuals. Training and mentoring will be provided for tools, processes, and all relevant areas as required. What’s in it for you? • Create documentation for our clients that is:
• High quality and focused on defined documentation objectives
• In accordance with any required client styles and standards and guidelines
• Appropriate for the applicable target audience and industry sector
• Based on input and sign-off from subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Developed using a range of cutting-edge tools and technologies
• Delivered on time and according to client deadlines
• Peer-edit documentation for other information developers
• Contribute to internal company projects
• Undertake training on new tools and processes as required
• Mentor junior team members when appropriate
• Contribute to continuous improvement in internal documentation processes
• Contribute to the development of internal/external formal training material

Requirements

• Previous experience working in User Assistance at SAP
• Passed the SAP technical writing test
• Experience of writing software documentation including in-app help, user guides, configuration guides, and administration guides
• Third level qualification in technical writing, English, IT, or a related discipline
• At least three year’s practical experience of working in a technical writing environment, preferably in the IT industry
• At least two year’s practical experience working with XML DITA authoring tools and with CCMS platforms, particularly Ixiasoft.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and with client contacts
• Understands and actively works towards meeting project objectives and milestones
• Seeks out and takes responsibility for defined activities, and encourages others to achieve shared goals
• Is flexible in adapting to changing conditions and work assignments
• Committed to self-training, seeking out opportunities to gain additional exposure and experience
• Works to achieve high quality results on all projects and tasks

• Has a high-quality broadband connection and other required infrastructure to support working from home
