About The Role As a Solar PV Service Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our residential customers through system servicing, fault diagnosis, site surveys, and customer add-on installations. Working closely with our Operations, Technical Support, and Installation teams, you will ensure that customer systems continue to perform at their highest level while identifying opportunities for upgrades and enhancements. This is a varied field-based position that combines technical troubleshooting, customer interaction, surveying, and hands-on installation work. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys for Solar PV, battery storage and other renewable energy installations.
  • Assess the technical suitability of equipment, installation requirements, and customer upgrade opportunities.
  • Carry out customer add-on installations, including batteries, EV chargers, immersion controllers, monitoring devices, and other renewable energy products.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across Solar PV and renewable energy systems.
  • Service and maintain existing Solar PV and solar thermal installations.
  • Complete preventative maintenance visits and system health checks.
  • Develop material schedules and equipment requirements from survey findings.
  • Provide a high level of technical support and customer service during site visits.
  • Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, and customer updates.
  • Manage warranty and RMA processes, including equipment replacement tracking and record keeping.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in Solar PV, electrical, plumbing, or renewable energy installations.
  • Experience carrying out fault finding, servicing, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to complete residential site surveys and identify technical installation requirements.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience within a construction, electrical, or renewable energy environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Solar PV systems, battery storage systems, EV chargers, and renewable energy technologies is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Irish building regulations and electrical standards is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoor environments.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Republic of Ireland.
