Company Accountant

A longstanding services company in Limerick, is seeking a Company Accountant to take ownership of the company’s finance function. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and end-to-end responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll report directly to the new owner, who will continue to oversee higher-level finance and strategic matters. You’ll be the go-to person for all things finance, managing the full cycle from transactional processing to management reporting:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Payroll processing and compliance
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow tracking
• Journal entries and month-end close
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors

Experience required:

• Experience in a hands-on finance or accounting role
• Comfortable running a finance function independently
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or sufficient relevant experience
