Commercial Lead – MedTech / Medical DevicesLocation: UK & Europe (50% travel) - Remote and field based

Are you a commercial operator with start-up DNA, ready to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing medical device business?

We are looking for a Commercial Lead to drive the adoption of a clinically validated urology safety device across the UK and Europe. This is a department-of-one role reporting directly to the CEO, perfect for someone who thrives in a lean, action-oriented environment and wants to influence market growth and business valuation.

Key Mission

Accelerate adoption of the device by acting as the strategic engine and field catalyst for their exclusive distribution partner, ensuring it becomes a standard of care.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the distributor’s sales teams (approx. 50% travel), attending hospital visits, workshops, and exhibitions. Win the “mindshare” of the sales force and remove barriers to adoption.
  • Navigate complex procurement pathways (Value Analysis Committees, tenders, NHS Supply Chain). Articulate the health economics argument to demonstrate how upfront costs are offset by avoided complications.
  • Identify barriers to adoption, implement tactical solutions, and provide real-time market feedback to refine commercial strategy. Advise on necessary marketing or clinical data assets.

Ideal Candidate ProfileBackground & Experience:

  • Proven success in a lean SME or start-up environment.
  • Experience selling high-volume, single-use medical devices (urology experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue through distributors using influence and relationship-building.
  • Strong understanding of UK (NHS) and European healthcare procurement and the ability to sell a business case to non-clinical buyers.

Personal Attributes:

  • Mission-driven: Focused on utilization and volume metrics.
  • Hands-on player-manager: Willing to support field activity and product demonstrations.
  • Commercial maturity: Able to operate autonomously, reporting directly to the C-suite.
  • Professional fluency in English (French or German is advantageous).
