Senior R&D Engineer – Medical Devices

Location: Galway, Ireland

We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer with experience in the medical device industry to join a growing team in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of innovative projects and contribute to the development of life-changing technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in R&D within the medical device industry
• Strong background in product development, from concept through to commercialisation
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Experience with design verification and validation, and knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
