All of our corn tortilla production takes place at our factory in Clonmel, Ireland, which sits at the heart of the business and plays a critical role in delivering the quality and consistency we’re known for. The business sells a foodservice offering across 19 European markets and the Middle East, and a retail offering across 5 European markets. The major focus markets being UK and Ireland for the retail offering, with significant opportunity across the European continent for business expansion utilising the existing distribution network.

Your Mission

To own the performance of a production shift, ensuring best-in-class execution across people, processes and equipment. Delivering consistent product excellence through effective team coordination and real-time decision making.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on and highly dependable operator to take ownership of one of our production shifts and play a key role within the operations leadership team.

You’ll lead a team of General Operatives on shift, ensure the production line runs efficiently, and oversee the maintenance team. Alongside this, you’ll develop a strong, practical understanding of how the factory operates end-to-end, from people and processes to equipment, constraints and opportunities for improvement.

Over time, you’ll become a trusted and influential presence on the factory floor, someone who contributes meaningfully to how the operation runs, not just within your shift, but across the wider site.

What You’ll be DoingShift Leadership & Execution

• Take full responsibility for the performance of your shift, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Lead, train and develop a team of approximately 15 General Operatives.
• Ensure the right people are in the right roles across the production line at all times.
• Act as the primary decision-maker on shift, maintaining flow and resolving issues as they arise.

Production & Line Management

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the production line, ensuring smooth operation and minimal disruption.
• Monitor output, efficiency and quality in real time, taking corrective action where needed.
• Ensure all processes, including those relating to food quality and health and safety, are followed correctly and consistently.
• Maintain high standards of organisation and efficiency across the floor.

Maintenance Oversight

• Coordinate and oversee a small team of maintenance staff on shift.
• Ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime through effective prioritisation.
• Escalate and support resolution of technical issues as needed.
• Work closely with maintenance to support preventative and reactive work.

Contribution to Site Operations

• Develop a strong, hands-on understanding of all aspects of the factory — people, processes, equipment and constraints.
• Actively identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement across people, processes and equipment, with a focus on efficiency, output and consistency.
• Contribute to the effective running of the site through practical insight and sound decision-making.
• Provide clear feedback on operational performance, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the implementation of operational improvements and new ways of working.
• Help ensure consistency of standards and execution across shifts.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all products meet Blanco Niño’s quality standards across every production run.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene and compliance standards at all times.
• Ensure SOPs and quality processes are followed consistently.
• Act quickly and decisively on any quality issues.

People Leadership & Development

• Be a visible, proactive and engaged leader on the factory floor.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and high standards reflecting our company values.
• Manage performance, attendance and conduct.

Ideal Experience

• Experience in a supervisory or management position within a manufacturing or production environment.
• People management and development in a shift-based environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of production line operations.
• Exposure to maintenance coordination or working alongside engineering teams.
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards (e.g. HACCP principles).
