Healthcare Assistant – Gorey & Surrounding Areas

€14.15 - €16.00 per hour | Mileage & Travel Time Paid at 48c Per Mile | 5 to 35 Hours a Week Looking for a role where you can truly make a difference - and still have time and energy for yourself? Bluebird Care is hiring Healthcare Assistants in Gorey and the surrounding areas to support older people in their own homes with practical care and meaningful connection. You'll work set hours with the same clients each week - the consistency and stability that make this work sustainable rather than draining. What You'll Be Doing You'll deliver one-to-one care in the client's own home:

• Personal care (washing, toileting, dressing)
• Light meal preparation and basic household tasks
• Friendly conversation and emotional support
• Helping with mobility and routine activities

You won't be left to figure things out on your own - full training and day-to-day support from a responsive local team. Hours Built Around You We provide care seven days a week, 8am to 8pm. That means there's room to build a week that actually suits you.

• A few hours a week? 5 or 10 hours is a genuine option. Plenty of our team fit care around family, study or another job.
• Something steadier? 15 or 20 hours a week, on a pattern you agree at the start and keep.
• Full-time? Up to 35 hours a week.

Our busiest periods are mornings from 8am-12 and evenings from 4pm-8pm, so there's most availability in those blocks. But we run calls right through the day - if the middle of the day suits you better, say so and we'll work with it. You'll agree your pattern when you join, and stick with it week to week. What We Offer

• €14.15 to €16.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Not Qualified Yet? If you have experience - such as caring for a loved one - but no formal training, we offer heavily subsidised QQI courses in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly, and we'll guide you through it. Do You Fit This Role?

• To live in or near Gorey
• A full driving licence and your own vehicle
