Long-established market leading provider of analytical, laboratory and weighing instruments are seeking an ambitious engineer to join their successful service team.
Company:
With a long-standing pedigree and a market-leading reputation, this provider of analytical, laboratory and weighing instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover predominately Galway & the Connacht area, and occasionally further afield across Ireland. With a multimillion-euro turnover and a history spanning more than a century, this company supplies high-end laboratory equipment primarily to pharmaceutical labs and universities. This is a great opportunity for a driven engineer looking to take the next step in their career and gain experience servicing a broad range of precision instruments within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Role:
The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of high-precision laboratory instruments including incubators, refrigeration systems, microbalances, and other weighing equipment.
* Travel to customer sites to calibrate and maintain a wide range of electromechanical laboratory instruments.
* Deliver technical product demonstrations and basic user training to clients when required.
* Offer ongoing technical support across the full product range.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers in scientific and medical facilities.
* Ensure all service documentation and reports are completed accurately in line with company policies.
The Person:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically capable engineer, ideally someone in their second role, who is looking to develop their expertise in a hands-on, field-based position.
* Hold a qualification/trade in Electrical, Electronic, or Biomedical Engineering.
* Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
* Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation or similar complex systems is beneficial.
* Motivated self-starters with good communication and problem-solving skills will thrive in this role.
* Excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused approach are key.
