Senior RFIC Verification Engineer (Rx/Tx Transceiver)
6 Month Contract, Remote within Ireland

My client is a world leading wireless technology innovator. They have immediate requirements for skilled RFIC Engineers and Verification Engineers to work on debug and verification of a variety of designs
About the Position
The senior engineer will take on the verification of full Rx and Tx chains of an on-going design. They will help setup and debug simulation testbenches, report compliance to spec and validate device register controls for test. The tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Review of block specifications.
- Simulation and reporting compliance to specifications.
- Root cause any specification failures.
- Liaising with the chip lead to integrate the designs.
- Presentation of design for block-level reviews.
ExperienceEssential:
- Around 5 years’ experience in analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IC verification or design
- Strong hands-on experience simulating analog and mixed-signal circuits in the Cadence environment
- Proficiency with Cadence ADE XL and/or ADE Maestro (ADE Explorer/Assembler) for setting up, running and managing simulations
- Proven experience in functional verification of analog/mixed-signal blocks: building testbenches, running simulations and checking performance against specification
- Ability to debug and root-cause specification failures, working closely with design engineers
- Clear communicator, comfortable reporting results and presenting at design reviews
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
Ideally:
- RFIC experience, ideally on receive (Rx) and transmit (Tx) chains or transceiver blocks
- Experience verifying device register controls or test modes
- Scripting skills for automation (e.g. Python, SKILL, Perl)
- Experience supporting chip-level integration through to tape-out
Remuneration Package
Daily rate contract with rates reflecting experience and suitability
