Role Overview:

The Operations and Business Development Manager at Buttercups Uniforms is responsible for leading

and coordinating business development activities while ensuring that operational processes are

efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company's strategy and customer service standards. This role

bridges sales, marketing, operations and administration to maximise growth and profitability.

Our Sales channels include:

- Online Sales, Telesales, Direct Sales, Wholesale and Agents/Distributors

Our customer channels include:

- Hospitality

- Beauty

- Pharmacy

- Dental

- Medical

- Veterinary

- Corporate

Our Sales territories include:

- Ireland 

- UK 

- EU Mainland

- Other overseas

Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, channels, and partnerships to
  • increase revenue and market share.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients, distributors, and strategic partners,
  • including negotiating and structuring commercial agreements.
  • Lead and support proposed development, pitches and contract negotiations
  • New Customer Acquisition: Develop and nurture leads, converting them into satisfied
  • customers. Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients and conduct face-to-face meetings
  • to introduce Buttercups Uniforms and identify their uniform needs.
  • Customer and Channel Development: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and identify
  • new opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, and referrals across existing and new channels and
  • industries.
  • CRM Expertise: Use CRM software to build and maintain a strong base of leads. Leverage
  • technology to communicate with prospects and customers as well as to generate regular
  • weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.

Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and service levels,
  • while identifying bottlenecks and process improvements.
  • Standardise and manage business development and operational tasks (e.g., lead-to-cash,
  • project or order delivery) using CRM (HubSpot), ERP (Sage), or similar systems.
  • Monitor KPIs for sales activity, order fulfilment, and customer satisfaction, and provide the
  • managing director with regular reports and actionable insights.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with a focus on new customer acquisition across various channels
  • and industries.
  • Strong ability to engage potential clients effectively.
  • Proven success in achieving targets.
  • Previous experience with various CRM systems for communication, lead management,
  • reporting and people management.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare, hospitality, or beauty industry is highly desirable.
  • A self-starter personality with strong resilience and a can-do attitude.
  • A team player.
