Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry-leading sampling and analysis; and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors. We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on-site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS. Job Title, Summary & Reporting Line: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Scheduling Supervisor is a highly organised and dynamic individual, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sampling team, supporting our Food, Environmental, Medtech and Pharmaceutical clients around the country. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the schedule and the team, to ensure efficient and timely sample collection, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. The Role: Schedule Coordination:

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for samplers and drivers.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of resources to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Adjust schedules in response to changing client needs, employee availability, and other operational factors.
  • Utilise appropriate software solutions to deliver an efficient and easy to manage scheduling process.
  • Monitor and analyze scheduling metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce travel time, and improve overall efficiency.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and support samplers and drivers, providing guidance and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage the implementation of logistics schedules, policies, procedures, techniques, standards, and systems with the team, ensuring samplers and drivers have appropriate support.
  • Work with other relevant stakeholders to arrange training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Client Interaction:

  • Liaise with clients regarding scheduling and sample collection.
  • Address and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through efficient and reliable service.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Coordinate collections with the lab supervisors to ensure proper capacity for processing and delivering to customer deadlines.
  • Providing support with existing and new client quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Where you’ve come from:

  • Relevant degree desirable.
  • 3-5 year’s (approximate) experience in a scheduling, logistics or relevant/related operational role with previous people management experience.
