Site Manager Cleanroom Ops - Permanent - South Galway

SSE is currently recruiting for a Site Manager to lead our team at one of our blue-chip, biopharmaceutical, clients, located in the West region. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all operational delivery as part of our Cleanrooms Service Operations of this large-scale contract. Role involves leading our cleanroom operations and overseeing the daily operational delivery, strict cleanliness standards, and regulatory compliance of a controlled manufacturing environment. You will lead the team, manage protocols (like gowning and hygiene), and ensure the facility meets ISO classification and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage Site Operations

  • Ensure the required work, standards, and financial targets are achieved in areas of responsibility.
  • Promote new/additional services onsite.
  • Be the custodian of quality client communications/partnership, with a solution-focused approach.
  • Promptly deal with any client issues or complaints.
  • At all times, ensure that all quality-related discrepancies are rectified.  Be our primary representative at client meetings, become actively involved in site procedures, suggest improvements, and provide feedback to clients.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities with a flexible, hands-on attitude.
  • Be a self-starter and demonstrate ability in decision-making.

Administration and Budgets

  • Responsible for budget activities for our services on-site for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with payroll procedures.
  • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports for KPI’s.

Health and Safety

  • Be the custodian of our health and safety culture on-site.
  • Ensure all company Health and Safety policies are being adhered to by all operatives and led by example by yourself.
  • Conduct risk assessments alongside H&S officer.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to ensure the safety management system is effective and liaise with safety officer.

Staff Management:

  • Ensure process compliance in our service delivery in the cleanroom operations.
  • Proactively lead the team by coaching, counselling, disciplining, planning, monitoring and upskill employee’s knowledge of cGMP/GDP standards.
  • Liaise with HR on employee queries or issues, in line with company policies and legislation.
  • Ensure co-ordination of high performing teams to achieve desired outcomes in line with scheduled cleans.
  • Foster a people-first culture on-site ensuring our teams are motivated to deliver on the expectations.
  • Conduct appraisals and reviews, as per company policy.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
  • Ensure scheduled training tasks (SOPs, CBTs, ILCs) are completed on time and in date.
  • Identify and action training requirements of supervisors and staff and document all training in line with company policy.
  • Recruitment and selection of new employees, as applicable.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a management level in a similar industry
  • Strong leadership & communication skills; fluent English.
  • Hands‑on approach, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Computer literacy & full flexibility.
  • GMP experience/knowledge a big advantage
