Engineering Supervisor - Weekend Shift

Excellent opportunity for a Engineering Supervisor to cover a weekend day shift for a leading MedTech company in Galway. The Engineering Supervisor provides technical leadership to shift equipment technicians, oversees technician performance, equipment reliability, and line performance against key maintenance KPIs, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support efficient plant operations.

• Overview of your responsibilities Lead and support shift equipment technicians, ensuring safe, high-quality execution.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance using Maximo.
• Prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Coach and develop technicians through regular performance reviews and training.
• Partner with the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Provide technical leadership during equipment issues and critical escalations.
• Oversee engineering projects, including equipment installations, layout changes, and validation activities.
• Monitor and report OEE, Yield, and maintenance KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

• **Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:**People management and Supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on approach to equipment troubleshooting and escalations.
• Proven ability to improve uptime, yield, and equipment performance.
• Clear communicator with strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Committed to safety, compliance, and LOTO standards.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation.
