Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Our client, a leading electrical contracting and consultancy company, is seeking to recruit an Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.Responsibilities: (Full job description available on request)

• Lead the development and implementation of EHS and Quality policies, procedures, risk assessments, audits, and management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Provide expert EHS advice and support to managers and employees across multiple sites nationwide.
• Plan and deliver EHS and Quality training, inductions, safety meetings, and audits, while representing the company during client audits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with PSDP and PSCS responsibilities, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement where required.
• Maintain employee training records, subcontractor compliance documentation, and registers.
• Support the preparation of EHS and Quality documentation for major tenders, including SAQs, QW2/QW3, and PSDP/PSCS submissions.
• Monitor and audit site compliance, coaching employees and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.
• Undertake additional duties as required to support business needs.

Requirements:

• A third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the utilities, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
• Experience working with ESBN requirements, Sign, Lighting and Guarding, and contractors in PSCS- and PSDP-appointed environments would be advantageous.
• Manual Handling Instructor qualification is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence.
