Senior Design & Project Manager

Lead a multidisciplinary design and project delivery team within the water treatment and environmental sector. Responsible for delivering technical solutions across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation projectsfrom concept through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a design team delivering mechanical and electrical projects
• Oversee full design lifecycle: site visits, design development, drawings (e.g. AutoCAD, P&IDs), pricing, and quotations
• Manage end-to-end project delivery: planning, scheduling, resourcing, procurement, EHS, and commissioning
• Coordinate project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective execution
• Control project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet deadlines
• Support tendering and bid preparation, including cost analysis
• Provide site supervision and ensure quality and compliance
• Conduct risk assessments with a focus on health, safety, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and support cross-functional delivery
• Ensure smooth project handover to service/operations teams

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or similar)
• 7+ years? industry experience in a relevant field
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering projects
• Strong knowledge of design tools (e.g. AutoCAD)
• Experience in water treatment/environmental projects is advantageous
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of EHS standards
• Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland
