Business Development Executive – Hospitality & Food & Beverage Supply
Galway & Surrounding Areas (Confidential)
An established Irish supplier to the hospitality and food sector is hiring a Business Development Executive to help develop a new and growing territory across Galway City, County Galway and parts of Clare.
The area has good early momentum and a small customer base already in place, but there is a significant opportunity to build and shape the territory over the coming months.
This role will suit someone who enjoys creating traction, opening doors, and turning opportunity into long-term business.
The Opportunity
- A developing territory with strong potential rather than a saturated patch
- Existing accounts and activity already in place
- Clear scope to grow turnover significantly over the first 6–12 months
- Proper handover and support before full ownership transfers
- Direct reporting line to experienced, approachable leadership
The Role
- Take ownership of a defined geographic territory
- Grow existing accounts and actively open new customers
- Identify opportunities, gaps, and untapped hospitality operators
- Build strong relationships with hotels, kitchens, pubs, and food-led businesses
- Be visible, consistent, and proactive in the local market
This is a hands-on, field-based role; success comes from being out with customers.
Attitude & Values
This role will suit someone who values:
- Taking responsibility and being accountable for results
- A collaborative, team-first way of working
- Being dependable and organised
- Building long-term relationships rather than chasing quick wins
Backgrounds that tend to work well
- Field sales in retail, FMCG, or hospitality
- Food, drink, wholesale, or supply-led environments
- Commercial roles linked to logistics, operations, or service
Direct foodservice experience is helpful but not essential. Attitude, hunger, and work ethic matter most
Package
- €40,000–€45,000 base salary
- Uncapped commission (OTE €55k–€60k)
- Company vehicle, fuel, phone, laptop, lunch allowance
A full, clean Irish driving licence is required.
Why This Role Appeals
- A territory you can genuinely build and influence
- Visibility, autonomy, and ownership
- Strong operational support behind the scenes
- A stable, growing business investing in people and regions
