Account Manager - International Sales

Location: Mallow, Co. Cork Hybrid Working: Available following onboarding period Travel: Occasional international travel required We are partnering with a growing international trading business to recruit an Account Manager to join their commercial team based in Mallow. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, managing key accounts, and identifying growth opportunities. Working as part of a close-knit and collaborative team, you will play a key role in supporting existing customers while helping to drive future business growth across global markets. The successful candidate will gain exposure to international customers and suppliers, with opportunities to attend industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings worldwide as they progress within the business. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring a high standard of service and support.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across international markets.
• Manage the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.
• Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial agreements.
• Achieve agreed sales, margin, and growth targets.
• Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities to grow existing business.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to coordinate customer requirements.
• Coordinate product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Assist in resolving customer issues, queries, and commercial challenges.
• Support planning and forecasting activities where required.
• Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, including customer activity and sales reports.
• Provide regular sales updates and market insights to management.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
• Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all commercial and administrative activities.

About YouEssential:

• Previous experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, or a similar commercial role.
• Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

Desirable:

• Experience in a technical, industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or trading environment.
• Exposure to international customers, suppliers, or markets.
• Experience negotiating commercial pricing and agreements.
