The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our team in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, overseeing the technical and pre-construction stages of projects, from award and design coordination through to procurement and handover to site operations.
Working closely with our Design, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams, you will help ensure projects are technically compliant, commercially viable and ready for successful delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with building envelope experience who enjoys solving technical challenges, coordinating stakeholders and keeping projects moving.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the technical design and submittal process, ensuring approvals and deliverables meet project deadlines.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and calculations to ensure designs are compliant, practical and fit for purpose.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Working with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical queries.
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks and addressing potential issues early.
- Supporting procurement with accurate material take-offs and technical documentation.
- Coordinating project handovers to ensure site teams have the information and documentation needed for successful delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- A third-level qualification in Engineering, Architectural Technology, Project Management or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience working with a building envelope, façade or cladding contractor.
- Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, technical drawings and specifications.
- An understanding of relevant building regulations and manufacturer requirements.
- Familiarity with common data environments and digital project collaboration tools.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
