EHS International is looking for a Senior Safety Consultant to join a team that already carries real weight in the Irish EHS market. With a waiting pipeline of client work and a performance share scheme that rewards the value you bring, this is a role built for someone who has already proven themselves across multiple sectors.
You'll work across a broad spread of client projects and sectors, providing technical guidance on complex safety matters while carrying your own caseload of consultancy work. Based in Cork or Dublin, you'll have the flexibility to work across our client base rather than being tied to a single site or sector.
- Provide technical guidance on complex safety matters, internally and to clients
- Lead safety consultancy engagements across multiple sectors and project types
- Support and mentor other EHS consultants
- Review high-risk or high-complexity safety assessments and reports
- Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Stay current on regulatory change and translate it into practical client guidance
Key Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, standards and best practice.
- Excellent risk assessment, auditing, investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to provide practical, commercially focused safety advice to clients.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and understand their operational needs.
- Strategic and solutions-focused approach, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple client requirements and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider consultancy team.

Experience:
- RequirementsMinimum 10 years' experience in a safety consultancy or senior in-house safety role
- Demonstrated breadth: multiple sectors, multiple project types, not a single-industry specialist
- Relevant third-level qualification in Safety, Health & Environment or equivalent (Diploma/Degree)
- Chartered status (CMIOSH) or working toward it strongly preferred
- Proven ability to advise on complex cases and mentor other consultants
- Strong client-facing communication — comfortable advising at senior stakeholder level
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
- Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
