Our client is currently seeking a motivated and target-oriented External Sales Representative to grow their customer base and drive sales performance in Limerick. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with clients, and promoting a diverse range of products to meet and exceed sales goals. This position plays a key role in supporting business development and upholding the company’s commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales, has strong product knowledge in the construction sector, and wants to contribute meaningfully to a well-established and respected organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Represent and promote the company’s product range to both existing and potential customers across the Dublin area.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, with an emphasis on developing long-term partnerships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Source and follow up on new business leads, including cold calling and referrals, to expand the customer base.
- Consistently meet or exceed agreed sales targets and performance metrics in line with company objectives.
- Prepare regular sales reports, maintain accurate records of client interactions, and provide insights on market trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer service and resolution of client queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, market trends, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
Requirements
- A proven background in sales within the construction industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
- Solid understanding of building materials and timber products is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with a variety of clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under time pressure.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
- Competent in using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full clean driving licence
