Engineering Manager – REF: 2603 We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join our Water design team. The successful candidate will join a growing team with senior support and will have the opportunity as their career to acquire a broad range of skills and experience in design and project management, The Engineering Manager will have a client facing role. The responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Client Relationship Management and Business Development - Maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
  • Leading a team of engineers with responsibility for delivering projects, managing performance and developing competency.
  • Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion across a range of water sector projects, typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
  • Leading the project engineering team for the development of preliminary and detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.
  • Collaborate and plan design work and deliverables together with wider process MEICA team
  • Ensuring all designs are completed in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications
  • Ensuring all designs comply with all applicable Health and Safety standards and regulations
  • Attending progress meetings with our Water design team, clients, contractors & supplier

The location for this role will be in our Kilkenny office; however, we will also consider applications for our Dublin office. Requirements: The Candidate…. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
  • 10+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in the Water Industry
  • Experience with relevant software packages such as SUMO, WAVE, AFT or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Problem Solver with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Full driving license and own transport required
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
