Job Description *

What does a successful Senior Platform Engineer do?

You will be responsible for designing, building, and ensuring production-grade support for Kubernetes and Cloudplatform at a global scale. Also, you will help application teams to onboard, monitor, and run the applications in a fast & secure manner while making sure the right technology is used for the specific application. This includes using the latest technology and the ability to greatly contribute and shape the solution with your input. The target of our initiative is to enable dev teams to onboard and work with the platform in a self-service way.

What you will do:

• Build & maintain our platform that serves as self-service for development teams
• Help application teams to be onboarded and provide technical guidance to use the maximum of our platform on-prem or in the cloud
• Cooperate with other departments within the organization (security, middleware team, Linux team, …)
• Implement middleware application specific requirements as needed, ensuring that integration across components in the provided environment is functional.
• Stay up to date on technology trends, direction and innovation related to business process and technology areas of focus for the position
• Participate on change management processes
• Be part of on-call duties to support the platform – "you build it, you run it".

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of work experience in SRE/DevOps/Platform Engineering area co-working with development teams
• Linux knowledge, basic networking, and certificates knowledge
• CI/CD, GitOps, Git/Gitlab, Docker and Kubernetes
• IaC and scripting skills
• senior-level hands-on experience with AWS cloud
• detailed understanding of the SDLC process
• Proficiency in English, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
• Ability to understand complex architectural designs and be able to search for alternative solutions

6-10 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience
