WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

You will be joining a high-performing senior delivery team operating across hyperscale data centre developments for globally recognised technology clients — projects characterised by exceptional complexity, tight programme constraints and the need for absolute precision across all delivery functions, from civil and structural works through to MEP systems, commissioning and operational integration.

The environment is fast-paced and demands a high level of leadership capability. As Project Director, you will set the tone across the full project team — managing internal resources, client relationships, consultant teams and specialist subcontractors. The business places a premium on structured governance, proactive risk management and clear communication at all levels, and you will be supported by experienced commercial, engineering and programme functions. Your visibility and influence will extend well beyond the site boundary.

The Dublin base provides access to one of Europe's most active data centre markets, with a strong pipeline of further hyperscale commissions secured across the region. For the right individual, the longer-term opportunity includes programme-level leadership and broader European responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take overall delivery accountability for major hyperscale data centre projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and operational handover.
• Act as primary client representative, managing all senior-level client engagement, reporting and relationship management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams across civil, structural and MEP disciplines, ensuring alignment with programme, quality and commercial objectives.
• Oversee MEP design coordination, package procurement and installation, with particular focus on integration and commissioning milestones.
• Drive project governance frameworks including risk management, change control, programme oversight and senior stakeholder reporting.
• Manage consultant teams and specialist subcontractors, ensuring contractual compliance, performance accountability and effective issue resolution.
• Provide strategic oversight of project commercial performance, working closely with the commercial team on budgets, forecasting and cost reporting.
• Mentor and develop senior project team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting succession within the business.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Proven experience at Project Director or Senior Project Manager level, with a track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong MEP background or deep familiarity with MEP coordination across complex, technically intensive construction environments — essential for this role.
• Experience managing direct client relationships at senior level, with the confidence and commercial acumen to represent the business at the highest levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large, multidisciplinary project teams across complex, fast-moving programmes.
• Solid understanding of NEC or FIDIC contract forms, with experience managing consultant and subcontractor performance within a structured governance framework.
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas and credibility to operate at board and client director level.
