Quantity Surveyor (Cork)
A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering a major office refurbishment project for the Port of Cork in Cork City, alongside a number of smaller commercial projects across West Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial experience to manage project costs, support procurement, and work closely with project teams on a variety of refurbishment and construction projects.
Responsibilities:
• Managing cost control across commercial refurbishment projects
• Preparing budgets, cost estimates, and tender documentation
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations
• Preparing interim valuations and final accounts
• Monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts
• Carrying out site visits and measurements as required
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and reports
• Supporting contract administration and commercial decision-making
Requirements:
• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or refurbishment projects
• Strong understanding of cost control, contracts, and commercial processes
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and valuations
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
• Full driving licence
