We are working with a global consulting firm based in Dublin, who are looking for an Economist to join their Strategic Economics team, who support the Strategy consultants. The team currently consists of experienced economists and they have an opportunity at Senior Associate level. This is a challenging and fulfilling opportunity with the potential to develop your range of skills significantly, applicants with experience in Cost Benefit Analysis will be of particular interest.

Focus of the role:
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the following areas -
- Economic analysis of policy, tax and regulations
- Economic impact assessments and evaluations
- Cost benefit analysis and value for money assessments
- Business case development and prioritisation to secure public sector funding
- Bespoke econometric modelling
- Time-series forecasting
- Support in competition cases vis-à-vis M&A impacts.
Required skills/attributes
Applicants should have strong academics and at least 2 years work experience as follows:
- Degree or Masters level qualification in economics or a related subject.
- Experience of applying economic analysis techniques and methods.
- Experience in Cost Benefit Analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work across diverse projects, with other skill sets.
- An ability to explain complex economics clearly to non-economists and apply economic concepts and techniques to real world situations.
- Experience of relevant statistical analysis tools e.g., Excel, R, Tableau, PowerBI etc.
